TRC is headquartered in Glastonbury, Connecticut, was founded in 1991, and serves financial institutions of all sizes throughout the United States. TRC is totally dedicated to assisting its clients review, consider, implement and manage trust and asset management services on an ongoing basis. It has no ties with any third party service providers and does not hesitate to so state if its analysis of a client's situation implies that these services would not meet their stated objectives in evaluating them. This independent and unbiased approach to its services has been a key element to the success of the company. Jim Phillips, Founder and President, has been exclusively involved in the trust and asset management field for the past forty-five years in both community and statewide institutions. Most recent to founding TRC, he was the senior officer in charge of the Financial Management Services division of People's Bank (Bridgeport, Connecticut) where he was responsible for the establishment of that bank's successful trust department. His responsibilities included accountability for the establishment of that bank's trust division as well as the insurance and retirement services divisions and discount brokerage subsidiary of People's Bank. Mr. Phillips voluntarily left that position in 1991 to found TRC, recognizing the unbiased and independent assistance institutions seek as they strategically address issues of trust and asset management services. Mr. Phillips serves as the Trust Advisor to the American Association of Bank Directors.
